This my travel blog during lock down situation due to COVID19. I drove my car and did the journey with my family (4 persons, including 2 kids). Here is my travel details and video blog on youtube.
Day 1
I
started on Saturday morning at 6:30am from Bangalore and drive about 700km to reach Vijayawada. It
took nearly 12.5 hours including small break. Road conditions was overall good. We
stayed at Hotel Center Side booked from MMT. It's really nice hotel, good sanitize
facility is there. We brought lunch and snacks from home and did dinner at
hotel. It was really good food. We took roti from hotel at night for next day
breakfast, which we eat with Jam. At AP border they make entry for entrance
and it took an hour. There was no social distance for this queue.
Day 2
I started from Vijayawada at 6am towards Bhubaneswar. Its about 800kms. We
heard road conditions is excellent but it's not. The NH16 is now modifying and
maximum places are diverted by side lane. This road condition is not good,
drove about 40-50kms speed. I found traffic as well and a place was water
logging. This journey took about 18 hours and reached at Hotel Pushpak around
12:40am (midnight). This Hotel was not as good as earlier day but it's okay.
Again it's sanitized hotel booked from MMT. This day we faced issue with dinner
as it was too late. We purchased from a road side dhaba but it was not good
quality. Orissa border they provided a pass and it was check at 4 places before
reaching at hotel.
Day 3 Started from hotel at 9am after breakfast and took luchi/puri-sabji parcel from hotel for lunch. It was about 500km journey for me. Road condition is good. On road my Fasttag stop working due to KYC due and can't recharge. On road I called to customer care and asked for help. It took about 30-45mins and got solution to use it. I did not stopped anywhere for food and come direct to home. Road conditions is really pathetic from Dumdum Airport to Habra about 40km. Also I noticed people are not following COVID safety like mask , social distance. Kolkata-Mumbai road was traffic after Kolaghat. Also lots of bicycle on road. After all I reached at home around 10pm. I applied for WB epass but no one checked it.
Note: This is 14th day and ending our home quarantine. We are happy to inform we have not infected by corona during our journey. So I can say hotel stay and journey is safe from Corona. :)
Nabadwip is located at the west bank of Bhagirathi in the Nadia district of West Bengal. On the other hand Mayapur is located at the junction of Bhagirathi and Jalangi. Nabadwip and Mayapur are famous for the Shree Chaitanya Deb (1418-1533) and ISKON Chandrodaya Temple. This is a very important place for Sri Chaitanya follower. However anyone can visit here, all religion are warmly welcome.

Brief History : The Nabadwip was the capital of Bengal during the Sen dynasty(1159-1206) in Bengal. Laxman Sen moved his capital from Gour in Nabadwip. In 1206, Bakhtiyar Khilji conquered Nabadwip during the time of Laxman Sen, since then the Muslim rule started in Bengal. At that time, Nabadwip was the main center for education in Bengal. Shri Chaitanya Dev was born in Nabadwip. Although there is a disagreement with the birth of Sree Chaitanya Dev but there are 186 temples in Nabadwip.
Take the local people from Howrah or Sealdah to Katoaya, Vishnupriya Holt.From there, you will get the totos to go to the Ganges Gate, after paying 10 rupees, then go to the boat at 3 rupees. Bus: Many buses coming from Kolkata are coming directly from Mayapur Iskon buses and buses are directly from Kolkata. You can come back tonight in the morning. Also, by going to the private bus, Krishnanagar town goes directly to the Iskon Mandir in Maayapur. Take the ferry to Navadvipa.

In the car : Due to the distance of 130 km from Kolkata to the road of Kolkata.National Highway 34 will reach Ranaghat and Krishnanagar by car and reach 3: 30-4: 00 hours in the city of Mayapur. There is a car park in the Iskon Temple of the Maya. But to go to Newbie with the car, you have to come a little bit. Or you can come out of the ferry with a car in Maayapur. Plane : There is no airport near the airport and the Navadwip. You will have to come to Kolkata Airport by car or train from there. Calcutta ISKON Car Service is available from the airport.

Maya Iskon Chandrodaya Temple is the main attraction of Mayapur. There are many temples here.

Tomb Temple: A big temple on the right side of the main entrance will see the Tomb Temple. It is forbidden to take photographs inside the Tomb Temple. Mobile and shoes should go inside the house. For visitors, the Tomb Temple is open from 7:30 am to 1:00 am and from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Sree Sri Prabhupada Poshpa in the Tomb Temple is the golden statue of Lord Krishna (Chabitola prohibited). You can see Sri Sri Prabhupada's divine house and things in the middle of this temple. Where to eat: I do not have food outside of the house without eating Prasad by visiting the temple of Maya. The Temple Prasad is very celestial and cost and less. There is no lunch and dinner. At noon, you will have to collect the coupon for 12 noon. Gita Bhaban, Gada Bhaban, Namhta Bhaban are available for food. Lunch is between 50 to 70 rupees and night's meal is between 40 and 50 rupees. Children will have to take tickets at half prices. Tickets or coupons for the night must be collected before evening. Night food is served at 8pm.
Food menu : The menu of food changes every day, but it is less similar. For example, the menu of the Haatai building was like - food or rice, spinach / hour, five milch vegetables, pulses, original vegetables, chutney, sweet or nectar .Many times cheese vegetables are given to the main vegetables. নবদ্বীপ পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নদীয়া জেলায় ভাগীরথীর পশ্চিম পাড়ে ও মায়াপুর ভাগীরথী ও জলঙ্গীর সংযোগস্থলে অবস্থিত। নবদ্বীপ ও মায়াপুর মূলত শ্রী চৈতন্য দেব (১৪১৮ - ১৫৩৩) ও ইসকন চন্দ্রোদয় মন্দিরের বিখ্যাত। শ্রীচৈতন্য ভক্তদের কাছে এটি খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জায়গা। তবে যে কেউ এখানে ঘুরবার জন্য আসতে পারে। সকল ধর্মের মানুষের অবাধ প্রবেশ আছে ইস্কন চন্দ্রোদয় মন্দিরে।

সংক্ষিপ্ত ইতিহাস বাংলায় সেন রাজাদের আমলে (১১৫৯-১২০৬) নবদ্বীপ ছিল বাংলার রাজধানী। লক্ষণ সেন গৌড় থেকে তার রাজধানী সরিয়ে আনেন নবদ্বীপে। ১২০৬ সালে লক্ষণ সেনের আমলে বখতিয়ার খিলজি নবদ্বীপ জয় করেন ও তখন থেকেই বাংলায় প্রথম মুসলিম শাসন শুরু হয়। তখন নবদ্বীপ ছিল বাংলার শিক্ষালাভের প্রধান পীঠস্থান। শ্রী চৈতন্য দেব এই নবদ্বীপে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। শ্রীচৈতন্য দেবের জন্ম ভিটা নিয়ে দ্বিমত থাকলেও নবদ্বীপে বর্তমানে ১৮৬ টি মন্দির আছে ও সব গুলিতেই ভজন ও কৃষ্ণনাম হয়।

কিভাবে যাবেন
ট্রেন:
হাওড়া বা শিয়ালদহ থেকে কাটোয়া লোকাল ধরে চলে আসুন বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া হল্টে। সেখান থেকে টোটো পেয়ে যাবেন গঙ্গার ঘাটে যাবার জন্য, ভাড়া পড়বে ১০ টাকা তার পর ৩ টাকায় নৌকায় চলে আসুন মায়াপুর ঘাটে। লঞ্চ ও আসে তবে ভাড়া একটু বেশি। মায়াপুর ঘাট থেকে আবার টোটো করে পৌঁছে যাবেন মন্দিরে। এভারে ও ভাড়া ১০ টাকা তবে চাইলে একটু হেটেও পৌঁছে যেতে পারেন। সোজা একটাই রাস্তা। বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া হল্টে সব ট্রেন দাঁড়ায় না , টেন এর সময় দেখে নেবেন।
কৃষ্ণনগর নবদ্বীপের কাছের সবচেয়ে বড় শহর ও নদীয়া জেলার জেলাশহর। কলকাতা থেকে অনেক ট্রেন কৃষ্ণনগর আসছে। আপনি সকালের দিকের যে কোন কৃষ্ণনগর লোকের ধরে চলে আসতে পারেন। কলকাতা থেকে কৃষ্ণনগর স্টেশনের দূরত্ব ১০০ কিলোমিটার এর একটু বেশি ও সময় লাগে ২ ঘন্টা। কৃষ্ণনগর স্টেশন থেকে অটো, টোটো বা বাস ধরে চলে আসুন নবদ্বীপঘাট। ২ টাকা দিয়ে জলঙ্গি নদীর খেয়া পার হয়ে আবার টোটো (১০ টাকা) ধরে বা হেটে (৫-৭ মিনিট) পৌঁছে যান মায়াপুর ইস্কন মন্দিরে।
সকাল ৭ থেকে ৯ টার মধ্যে অনেক গুলি ট্রেন আছে শিয়ালদহ ও হাওড়া থেকে নবদ্বীপ পৌঁছনোর জন্য।
বাস: কলকাতা থেকে অনেক বাস আসছে সরাসরি মায়াপুরে। ইস্কনের বাস ও আছে সরাসরি কলকাতা থেকে। সকালে এসে রাতে ফিরতে পারেন। তাছাড়া প্রাইভেট বাসে করে চলে আসুন কৃষ্ণনগর শহরে তার পর মায়াপুরের বাস ধরে সোজা চলে যান ইস্কন মন্দিরে। নবদ্বীপে যাবার জন্য খেয়া পার করুন ।
ইস্কন কলকাতা মায়াপুর ও মন্দির দর্শনের জন্য কলকাতা থেকে এসি বাস সার্ভিসের ব্যবস্থা করেছে। প্রতিদিন সকাল ৫ টা ১৫ মিনিটে কলকাতা ছাড়ে ও সকাল ১১ টায় মায়াপুর পৌঁছায়। আবার ফিরবার জন্য বিকাল ৪ টায় মায়াপুর থেকে কলকাতার উদ্দেশ্যে রওয়ানা হয়। যাওয়া, ফেরা বা একই দিনে ফেরার বাস পাওয়া যায়। এক দিকের ভাড়া ৪৭৫ টাকা। বাস, গাড়ি বা হোটেল বুক করবার জন্য ফোন নম্বর ৬২৯০৭৬৩৭৩০, ৮৪২০০৫০৯০২ ও ইমেইল contact@tourmayapur.com, এই লিংকে ক্লিক করুন।
রাত্রি ৮:৩০ এ শেষ বাস নবদ্বীপ ঘাট ও মায়াপুর থেকে ছেড়ে আসে। গ্রাম এলাকা হবার জন্য রাস্তাঘাট ৮:৩০ তেই শহরের রাত ১২ টার সুনসান হয়ে যায়। রাত্রে ফিরবার পরিকল্পনা থাকলে আগের থেকে ব্যবস্থা করে নেবেন। রাত্রে অটো বা টোটো পাওয়া যায় তবে যে কোনো ভাড়া চাইতে পারে। ফিরবার ট্রেনও কম থাকবে আগে থেকে দেখে নেবেন।

গাড়িতে: কলকাতা থেকে মায়াপুরের সড়ক পথে দুরুত্ব ১৩০ কিলোমিটার। গাড়িতে করে ন্যাশনাল হাইওয়ে ৩৪ ধরে রানাঘাট ও কৃষ্ণনগর পার করে ৩:৩০-৪:০০ ঘন্টায় পৌঁছে যাবেন মায়াপুরে। মায়াপুর ইস্কন মন্দিরে গাড়ি রাখার সুবন্দোবস্ত আছে। তবে গাড়ি নিয়ে নবদ্বীপি যেতে হলে একটু ঘুরে আসতে হবে। অথবা মায়াপুরে গাড়ি রেখে খেয়া পার হয়ে চলে আসতে পারেন। ইস্কনের মাধ্যমে গাড়ি বুক করতে পারেন, তারজন্য ওপরে দেয়া লিংকে ক্লিক করুন বা ফোন করুন।
প্লেন: মায়াপুর ও নবদ্বীপের কাছে কোন বিমানবন্দর নেই। আপনার কলকাতা বিমানবন্দরে পৌঁছে সেখান থেকে গাড়ি বা ট্রেনে করে আসতে হবে। কলকাতা ইস্কনের গাড়ি সার্ভিস বিমানবন্দর থেকে পাওয়া যায়।

চন্দ্রোদয় মন্দিরের প্রবেশ দ্বার
ভজন কুঠির:মন্দিরে প্রবেশের পরই বা দিকে দেখতে পাবেন বিরামহীন নাম কীর্তনের মন্দির। এটি পুরানো মন্দির ও খড়ের ছাওনি, সেখানে আনেক দেশি বা বিদেশি ভক্তগনের কৃষ্ণ নাম কীর্তন শুনতে পাবেন।
ভজন কুঠির
সমাধি মন্দির: মূল প্রবেশ দ্বারের ডান দিকে একটা বড় মন্দির দেখতে পাবেন সমাধি মন্দির। সমাধি মন্দিরের ভেতরে ছবি তোলা নিষেধ। মোবাইল ও জুতো বাইরে জমারেখে ভেতরে যেতে হবে। দর্শনার্থী দের জন্য সমাধি মন্দির সকাল ৭:৩০ থেকে ১ টা পর্যন্ত ও বিকাল ৩:৩০ টা থেকে ৮:৩০ পর্যন্ত খোলা।
সমাধি মন্দিরের ভেতর শ্রী শ্রী প্রভুপাদ পুষ্পা প্রভুর স্বর্ণ মূর্তি স্বর্ণ সিংহাসনে অধিষ্ঠান করছেন (ছবিতোলা নিষেধ )। এই মন্দিরের দোতলায় শ্রী শ্রী প্রভুপাদ এর বেক্তিগত ঘর ও জিনিস দেখতে পাবেন। তবে এর জন্য আপনাকে টিকিট কাটতে হবে। প্রভুর ব্যাবহৃত এম্বাসেডর গাড়িটি সমাধি মন্দিরের সামনে দেখতে পাবেন।

শ্রী শ্রী রাধা মাধব মন্দির বা চন্দ্রোদয় মন্দির
ভগবান কৃষ্ণের ভক্তদের জন্য একটি দুর্দান্ত জায়গা এবং সারা বিশ্ব থেকে প্রচুর পর্যটককে আকর্ষণ করে। মন্দিরের পরিবেশটি শান্তি এবং নির্মলতায় পূর্ণ। মন্দিরের অত্যাচার্য কাজ এবং প্রশান্ত পরিবেশ পর্যটকদেরএখানে টেনে নিয়ে আসে। রাধা মাধব মন্দিরটি মূল বেদীর চন্দ্রদায়া মন্দির হিসাবেও পরিচিত।এই এই মন্দিরে রয়েছে শ্রী কৃষ্ণ এর মূর্তি যেখানে তিনি সখী দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টিত।
নির্মীয়মান বড় মন্দির: প্রবেশদ্বার এর বা দিকে তৈরী হচ্ছে ইস্কন এর বড় মন্দির। এটি এখনো অসম্পূর্ন ও আনুমানিক ২০২২ সালে এটি সম্পূর্ণ হবে।

এক রাশিয়ান বিদেশিনী ভক্ত কৃষ্ণনাম ও শ্রী চৈতন্য দেবের নাম প্রচার করছেন।
চৈতন্য লীলা প্রদশর্নী, এটি মূল মন্দিরের ভেতরে অবস্থান করছে। ভক্ত গণের জন্য এটি খোলা থাকে সকাল ১০ টা থেকে ১ টা ও বিকাল ৪ টা থেকে ৬ টা পর্যন্ত।
গোশালা: ইস্কন এর নিজস্ব গোশালায় প্রায় ২০০ গরু ও বলদ আছে। এদের স্বাস্থ্য ঠিক রাখার জন্য একজন গরুর ডাক্তার বা পশু চিকিৎসক সবসময় উপস্থিত থাকেন। এই গরুর দুধের তৈরী খাবার যেমন ঘি, দই ও গোমূত্র বিক্রি হয়। এখানে কিছু বলদ এতটাই সুন্দর ও স্বাস্থ্যবান যে তাদের মানুষ পুনরায় মায়াপুর ভ্রমণ করেছেন ও গোশালা পরিদর্শন করেছেন।

কোথায় খাবেন: মায়াপুর মন্দির দর্শন করে প্রসাদ না খেয়ে বাইরে খাবার কোনো অর্থ নেই। মন্দিরের প্রসাদ অত্যান্ত সুস্বাধু ও খরচ ও কম। দুপুরে ও রাত্রে খাবারের ব্যাবস্থা আছে। দুপুরে খাবার জন্য ১২ টার মধ্যে কুপন সংগ্রহ করতে হবে। গীতা ভবন, গদা ভবন , নামহট্ট ভবনে খাবার পাওয়া যায়। দুপুরের খাবার ৫০ থেকে ৭০ টাকা ও রাত্রের খাবার ৪০ থেকে ৫০ টাকার মধ্যে থাকে। বাচ্চা দের জন্য হাফ দামে টিকিট নিতে হবে। রাতের জন্য টিকেট বা কুপন সন্ধ্যার আগে সংগ্রহ করতে হবে। রাত্রের খাবার রাত্রি ৮ টায় পরিবেশিত হয়।
খাবারের মেনু : খাবারের মেনু প্রতি দিন পরিবর্তিত হয় তবে কম বেশি একই রকম থাকে। যেমন একদিন নামহট্ট ভবনের মেনু এমন ছিল - অন্ন বা ভাত, শাক / ঘন্ট , পাঁচ মেশালি সবজি, ডাল , মূল সবজি , চাটনি , মিষ্টি বা পরমান্ন। অনেক সময় পনির এর সবজি মূল সবজিতে দেয়া হয়। এবারে রাত্রের খাবারে ভাতের সাথে রুটি ও পরিবেশন করা হয়। পরিবেশন অতি সুন্দর। হরেকৃষ্ণ নাম করে খাবার পরিবেশন শুরু হয়। খাবার প্রথম বার পরিবেশন এর পর দ্বিতীয় বার জিজ্ঞাসা করে প্রয়োজন অনুসারে দেয়া হয়। তৃতীয় বার এক জন এসে আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করে যায় কিছু কিনা। মেঝেয় কার্পেট পেতে প্লেট ও জল সহ পরিবেশিত হয়।
নির্দিষ্ট সময় খাবার পরিবেশন ছাড়া গীতা ভবনের কাছে একটা খাবারের দোকান আছে, হালকা টিফিন জাতীয় খাবার বিক্রি করা হয়।

কোথায় থাকবেন: মায়াপুর এ রাত্রে থাকবার জন্য মন্দিরের ভেতরে থাকা সবচেয়ে ভালো। তবে একান্তই যদি রুম না পান তবে মায়াপুরের কোনো হোটেলে পরিবার নিয়ে না থাকারচেষ্টা করবেন। বরং খোয়া পার হয়ে নবদ্বীপের কোনো হোটেলে থাকুন। মন্দিরের মধ্যে থাকবার জায়গা গুলি হলো -

নবদ্বীপ শহর: নবদ্বীপ এক সময় বাংলার রাজধানী ছিল ও শ্রী চৈতন্য মহাপ্রভুরর জন্মভূমি। এখানে এখনা প্রায় ১৯০ টি মন্দির আছে যেখানে ভজন ও কৃষ্ণনাম হয়ে থাকে। নবদ্বীপ ছিল সেন সাম্রাজ্যের রাজধানী ও তৎকালীন বাংলার রাজধানী। একসময় নবদ্বীপ বাংলার শিক্ষা ও সংস্কৃতির প্রধান স্থান হিসাবে প্রকাশ পেয়েছিলো।
মহাপ্রভুর জন্মস্থান: মহাপ্রভুর জন্মস্থান নিয়ে বিতর্ক থাকলেও একটি মন্দির আছে যেখানে প্রভুর জন্মস্থান বলে মানা হয়। ছবি আগে দেয়া হয়েছে।
বল্লাল সেনের ঢিপি মায়াপুরের কাছে বামুনপুকুর গ্রামে আছে এক সময়ের বাংলার শাসক বল্লাল সেনের রাজবাড়ী যা বল্লাল সেনের ঢিপি নামে প্রচলিত। এটি বাংলার সেন সাম্রাজ্যের চিহ্ন বহন করছে। এটি ৩০ ফুট উঁচু ও ১৩০০ বর্গ ফুটের। এটি ১৯৮২ থেকে ১৯৮৯ সালের মধ্যে প্রত্নতত্ব বিভাগ আবিষ্কার করে। মায়াপুর থেকে রিক্সায় ৬০-৭০ টাকায় এটি ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।
রাধাকুন্ড ও শ্যামকুন্ড মায়াপুরে অবস্থিত। সময় করে এই জায়গা টিও দেখে নিতে পারেন।
৫০০ বছরের পুরোনো কনক চাপা গাছ মায়াপুর ও নবদ্বীপ এর অন্যতম আকর্ষণ অবশ্যই এটি একবার দেখে নেবেন।
ভাগীরথী ও জলঙ্গি নদীর মোহনা অন্যতম আকর্ষণ। জলঙ্গি নদী এখানে ভাগিরথীতে মিশে গিয়েছে আর এই জায়গাটাও অন্যতম আকর্ষণ।
